Marianas Steamship Agencies, Inc. was established in June 1996 as a joint venture between Kyowa Line (USA) Ltd. and Saipan Shipping Company, Inc. The company is based out of the Guam, U.S.A. in the Western Pacific
Marianas Steamship Agencies provide full-scale general agency services including vessel husbanding, ship services, and ship chandling.
MSA Logistics’ was established in June 2003. This division of the company is involved in the sea and air freight forwarding and logistics business.

As a result of the increase of Guam port charges in October 2019, Kyowa will revise their Guam local charges beginning Pacific Condor v.173 (ETA Guam 12/4/19). Please see attached memo for details.

Kyowa Shipping will begin application of the SOx Surcharge (SSC) beginning December 2019. The surcharge will cover the value difference between conventional fuel and the mandated low sulfur oil as well as maintain the quality of Kyowa’s liner service throughout the Pacific region. PAG Interim Tariff Rate Increase:
Effective January 1, 2018, the Port Authority of Guam will be increasing all tariffs, rate charges and fees by 7%. For more details, visit www.portguam.com.
Kyowa Shipping will implement this change on all charges on their bills of lading on February 2018.

Invasive Species Inspection Fee
Effective July 1, 2015, the Department of Agriculture has implemented the Invasive Species Inspection Fee to be collected through the carriers:
$0.75 per 1000 lbs of all Inbound Cargo (minimum fee: $0.75)
The fee assessed is for inspection, quarantine and eradication of invasive species brought into Guam via ocean freight.

PAG Interim Tariff Rate Increase: Effective March 2, 2014, the Port Authority of Guam will be increasing all tariffs, rate charges
and fees by 5.65%. Excluded from the increase are the Crane Recovery Charge, Fuel Storage,

PAG Revised Facility Maintenance Fee
Effective June 1, 2010, the Port Authority of Guam has revised their Facility Maintenance Fee to the following:
$25.00 per Full Inbound, Outbound, and Inbound Transhipment Container
$1.35 per Revenue Ton for Breakbulk cargo
The "facility maintenance fee" is the fee assessed for use of port facilities to provide funding for the maintenance, replacement and repair of the port facilities.
